DBanj lands cover of The Observer UK

Yesterday,Nigerian musician D’banj graced the cover of UK’s ‘The Observer’where he was labelled “The African Star”!!.The Observer is The Guardian Newspaper’s sunday style supplement. The excited star shared it on Twitter.

In the interview, the superstar talked about the usual…….. G.O.O.D Music, Kanye West, breaking into the U.K/international music scene and stated:”It’s very humbling, my success here. Coming from Africa, doing music for a decade there… It’s a different world”.”I’m so excited – not just for me, but for the whole of Africa,” he says. “Two years ago I said it’s time for me to take my music global because I’ve won all the awards back home.” With his mentor, the producer Don Jazzy, he created the biggest record label in Nigeria, but “now I want to win a Brit award, a Grammy”.
Recently his Oliver Twist song was heard being used as the background music to a party in EastEnders – precisely the sort of mainstream attention that he wants to receive. For those of you that dont know,Eastenders is a very popular British tv soap.Waaal,go on D’Banj, continue to make African artists relevant on the lnternational stage!!!!
